About Me

Background and Introduction

I have a BA in psychology from Sonoma State, which I have found to be only academically useful.

I've been trained as a relationship coach, as a life coach, and as a counselor. Of the three of these, I find myself drawn to an open ended style of counseling that shapes itself towards whatever my clients are looking for as far as working on themselves.

My role is to listen and reflect back what I see and what insights I may have in response to whatever it is you want to work on or towards. My specialty tends to be introspection, mindfulness, and spirituality.

I do not make a good "pull up your bootstraps and go chase the world" kind of coach, but more of a "that's an interesting perspective; so that's how you experience the world?" kind of counselor.

I am not a licensed therapist, and my take on psychiatric diagnoses is that I will take them into account if you yourself find them to be useful and applicable, and otherwise I will treat clients as human beings with unique experiences, while doing my best not to categorize or label those experiences.

I offer my first intake/introductory session for free, so I invite anyone who feels drawn to this kind of work to set up a session with me and see if we would be a good fit for working together.
